NOTICE OF RACE

- Rules: The racing will be governed by
- The Racing Rules of the National Iceboat Authority (NIA) as published in November 15, 2018,
- International Nite Class Association (INCA) By-Laws, Rules and Constitution as posted on the Association’s website,
- Entries
- Each competitor must be a current member of the INCA. Dues - $20.00, must be paid online to register for event online (https://theclubspot.com/renew-interstitial/oFVGl1wW09)
- Competitors must pay the Nite Nationals Registration fee at least 1 hour prior to Race #1.
- Each skipper must sign INCA registration, waiver and release form (found on website at registration)
- Hard surfaced, suitable padded headgear-crash helmet- Must be worn while racing.
- Except in emergencies, to be determined by the Race Committee, the same person must sail a yacht throughout a regatta.
- Keeper trophies will be awarded in each fleet for positions 1st -10th.
- Race Schedule
- It will be determined at time of regatta whether we have 2 day or 3 day regatta.
- The first race will begin at 10 am local time on first day of the scheduled regatta.
- The National regatta may be run with split fleets regardless of the number of boats participating. Each competitor will indicate on the registration form whether they sail in the Gold or Silver fleet.
- A determination will be made after all boats are registered as to whether the fleets will sail on the same course at the same time with separate scoring or sail the fleets separately. This will be announced at the skippers/safety meeting before the first race of the regatta.
- The regatta shall consist of no more than (8 races in two days or 13 races in three days)
- No more than 5 races per day per fleet
- No race to start within 45 minutes of sunset on any day of the regatta. On the final day, no race may be started after 1300.
- However, in order to achieve a three day regatta, no race shall be started after 1400 on the final day of regatta.
- Skippers meeting will be scheduled prior to first race of regatta.
- Postponement:
Nationals will be postponed if the International Skeeter Association is scheduled
for the same dates.

TBD – Potential sites: Madison area, Escanaba, MI, Twin Cities area, Pewaukee, Green Bay
Site will be announced by noon 2 days before the regatta is scheduled. (These are only considered examples of possible sites)
- Social Schedule: Friday night -TBD
Saturday night – INCA Annual Meeting and Dinner
- Regatta Updates: Official Regatta updates will be on the INCA website niteracing.org and Nite Iceboat FB page and by Membership email.
Sailing Instructions will be available on the INCA website and at the time of the regatta.
